Is there such a thing as a “perfect picture”? Before I started my blog I didn’t usually like pictures that were taken of me (particularly because I seem to have a tendency to blink my eyes at the most inopportune moments). I always seemed to like everyone else in the picture but didn’t like how I looked.
I am learning to surrender to the fact that there is never going to be the perfect picture, and most importantly, I have realized that to show real life it is actually necessary to live a REAL life. What I mean by that is that I am OK if not all my pictures look like they were taken in a studio where the wind never blows, the lighting is always perfect and you don’t have to worry about someone coming along to photobomb your picture.
I try to post pictures that I think will be the most appealing, but guess what else I have found….what I think are my best or most flattering pictures are not always what other people think are the best!
I have learned some very important things about myself during this journey such as:
I don’t mind if anyone is staring at me while I take pictures in public places….
I have always been confident in my own abilities and about how I look, but I’ve taken that to a whole new level.
I REALLY love writing this blog and my goal is to really help others know that you can achieve anything you set your mind to, if you put forth the effort.
