I make no apologies for the fact that I have only posted a couple of times in the last few weeks, because I was spending time doing my favorite thing…vacationing with my family!
For anyone that knows me, they know that being on vacation, especially when it’s with my family, is my favorite thing to do. For someone that is as active and never stops like me, being on a cruise with very little accessibility to the outside world can be a little challenging, but I have to admit, I really did return from my vacation feeling like I had truly allowed myself to detach and relax. It’s a hard thing to do, but honestly, it was so worth it.
I wanted to show you some pictures of the cruise so you could see the amazing places we visited, the things we did and even though there was a large group of us (17 in total – 6 adults and 11 boys) everyone got along remarkably well and there was very little drama.
The cruise ship itself was ridiculously huge and had so many things for us to do that the days at sea were so much fun too. My preference is always to lay in the sun and read, but knowing that my boys weren’t bored and I didn’t have to worry about them allowed me that precious time to get my time in!
Jack was up at the crack of dawn every morning ready to head to the basketball court, where he spent most of his time, broken up only by rock climbing or boogie boarding on the flow-rider. Reiken went from boogie boarding, to swimming to sliding on the enormous water slides and of course he had to finish off a minimum of 5 soft-serve ice cream cones each day. I don’t think I saw Canyon other than walking by and at dinner because he had a big group of friends that enjoyed pretty much every activity there was. Dalton was the only one his age, but he found friends and played in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament that their team won.
The cruise food was pretty good, but I am glad to be back to my normal diet, because no matter how great my intentions or working out every day…I only managed 3 times. I will fill you in a little more in the upcoming days about my new great app that allows me to take my workouts wherever I go!
