Wearing Jeans can sometimes be just a little too casual, so finding a pair that is a cross between jeans and dress pants is perfect for those days when you need to dress up a little more than Jeans allow.
This pair of large turn up dress Jeans provided me with the opportunity to look professional and stylish. They are cut so the hem falls just at the ankle so I wanted to wear a pair of booties because the hemline allowed for them to be shown off. The blouse was just a splash of different colors and tied the whole look together.
Over the years styles of Jeans have changed a lot, and they will continue to change. I believe that you don’t have to just follow all the trends – for example you don’t have to wear skinny Jeans if they don’t suit your body type and you certainly don’t have to wear the Jeans with all the holes if it’s just not your style. It doesn’t mean that you can’t find a pair that work for you…This pair of Jeans are really not your typical Jeans because they are little dressier, yet they can be dressed down. There are so many different styles of Jeans from Boot Cut, Flared, Skinny, Wide Leg, and even Capri style. My suggestion if you are not sure which style of Jeans suits you best, try as many as possible. The Low cut waist has been in for so long, but now I am seeing Mom cut higher waisted Jeans – personally I don’t like these for my body type (I know this because much as I hate to admit it, I was around the last time they were in style ;))
Growing up in England Jeans I didn’t really wear Jeans as much as I do now living in the US, however, I do love how versatile they can be. If you are not accustomed to wearing Jeans, it doesn’t mean that you can’t give them a try. No matter your size or body shape, there will always be a pair that you can find that is flattering to you…you just have to make sure that you shop in the right places. I am a little too curvy for some styles of Jeans, so I tend to steer away from certain brands and pairs from certain stores, and the only reason I know this is because I have tried them on in the past.
So many pair of Jeans are now made from stretchy denim which is awesome, because it means that they are so much more versatile. However, if you do find a pair of stretchy Jeans bear in mind that if you buy a larger size because you don’t want them too tight, it is most likely not going to adjust the fit too much but the waist will be larger (The purpose of stretchy Jeans is that they are fitted, so if you are not comfortable with tight, I would steer away from them).
Challenge yourself to find the perfect style of Jeans for you…let me know what you find.
