There are many misconceptions about leather, and one of them is that it is too edgy to wear for work. Today I wanted to show you how feminine and professional and leather skirt can look!
The main thing to remember if wearing a leather skirt for work is that you want to pair it with something delicate, feminine or professional. In my outfit I chose to wear a cute little cowl neck blouse – which toned down the look. I also love wearing leather with a business jacket or sport coat, or even a cute little sweater. As fall is approaching there are going to be a lot more opportunities for you to wear leather for business without looking unprofessional – and that could include wearing patterned tights, fur jackets or even long boots.
The key to wearing leather is to not be afraid to try something different and new. It is not just exclusive to skirt either, a cute leather dress with a jacket over it, or even pants can look amazing and not out of place!
Don’t think that leather has to just be black either – there are a lot of different colors of leather – and don’t worry, I know leather can be expensive, but with the new fabrics, leather look or “pleather” can look just as amazing.
Femininity is not sacrificed by wearing something that was traditionally worn by bikers – in fact, incorporating that into your style wardrobe says that you are versatile, confident and definitely not predictable.
