Wearing a Blazer

Most men have Sports Coats and wear them with different colored pants, so I thought I would put something together similar to that. I wanted to wear some Fall colors, and incorporate a little spice by adding Leopard print. The Blazer matched the top nicely and provided a contrast with the Maroon wide legged pants.

The great thing about wearing a Blazer is that you can pretty much wear it with any color of pants, skirt or dress…they key is to contrast rather than try to match. It provides that added professionalism to an outfit that is a little less conservative, or it is that extra layer for when the weather gets colder.

I love the colors of this outfit and how it pulls in Browns, Red, and Black…they all work well together, and add a little funk!

If you are looking to put together your own outfit using a Blazer, here are some things you can do:

1. Wear it with Jeans and stilettos for a more business/casual look.
2. Pair the Blazer with a mid-calf pencil skirt and booties or heeled oxford shoes.
3. Add a bright scarf if you are pairing colors that are relatively plain.
4. Wear a turtle neck to switch things up a little.
5. Wear skinny dress pants or a tight fitting dress to make the outfit a little more feminine or sexy.

All of these things can be done easily and make putting together an outfit like this easy…if you haven’t worn a Blazer before, now is the time to try!
