I love it when I come home to find a pair of shoes that I had ordered online ready and waiting for me at home. I had actually forgotten that I ordered these great shoes, so when I saw them it prompted me into deciding what I could wear to go with them!
I had a couple of important business presentations so I wanted to look professional and classy. I found this great black dress/pinafore and paired it with a simple grey T-shirt. I kept the whole look simple and just wore a plain single pearl necklace with pearl stud earrings.
I had been to the Nordstrom café last week and briefly looked at a few things in their Sale…when I saw these Vince Camuto shoes, I didn’t have time to wait to buy them right then, so that’s when I jumped online and ordered them…
Sales are always dangerous because it’s easy to justify buying things you wouldn’t normally do because they are on sale. You know, the whole “look at how much money I saved…” I have fallen into this trap before and ended up with things that I would never have bought if it wasn’t for the fact that it was on sale. Just because it’s a good deal, doesn’t mean you have to buy it. Don’t get me wrong, I love to shop – actually, I love to buy – but that doesn’t mean you have to buy something just because…
A great way to gauge whether or not you should buy something is to ask yourself “if this was full price, would I buy it” – if the answer is no, then you definitely shouldn’t buy it if it’s on sale. I have found that if I go into a store that is having a sale and I have an idea in my mind of a certain thing I am looking for I am less likely to just go crazy and end up with things in my closet with tags that I haven’t worn for months!
