Taking a Little Time

“Taking time to do nothing often brings everything else into perspective!”

During this hectic Holiday season I decided to take a breather and grab a coffee with a friend (of course, that friend just happens to be a photographer, so we managed to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get in a small photo shoot as well).

It’s really hard sometimes to take the time to sit down, pause and have a drink, it seems like we are all just running and grabbing our drinks to go – so we can make sure that we all can put the finishing touches on our Christmas shopping.  After getting back in town last week, I have been a little sick but I put a smile on my face to take care of things that needed to be taken care of, but I did take some time for me and I can tell you, it was worth it.

I fell in love with the pictures in this shoot, I feel really feminine and classy with my hair pulled back in a chignon along with some simple, classic accessories to highlight this amazing Peter Pan collared sweater.  When I have my hair pulled back I like to wear earrings that are going to be more visible and hang lower…I also love wearing pearls because they are so classic and remind of so many Movie Stars from the past.

I hope during this Holiday Season you find the time to pause and take a breath – sometimes it feels as though we don’t actually have time to breath, but it is something we definitely need to do!
