“In baseball as in life, all the important things happen at Home.”

The second installment of our 2016 Annual Baseball Trip to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play left us disappointed again as the Marlins beat the Pirates…We all wore our special T shirts, ate peanuts & hot dogs and had fun regardless of the outcome.

Our Hotel was about a mile away from the stadium so we had some serious walking to do, and after the first night my shoes had rubbed the back of my ankles, so I wore some open backed, ankle tie, wedge sandals that I bought yesterday to wear for walking around and to the game.  The ballpark is on the other side of the river from the Hotel and the City, so we had to take one of the many bridge across.  It is a beautiful scene, at least 4 yellow bridges across the river at around every block for at least a mile.  Right after the game there were fireworks which were spectacular, the only problem was that to get out of the game we needed to take the bridge and that is where they had set off the fireworks, so we had to wait for about 1/2 hour.

After all the flying I have done recently I am seriously ready to stay home for a while – my sleep schedule is still not quite right and the boys all start school tomorrow so tonight it is going to interesting to see if we can get ourselves into a routine.

Brandon customizes the T shirts on Custom Ink – he goes in and designs them all and uses the colors of the team that we are going to see.  This year the shirts were Black and Yellow.  Custom Ink is not the cheapest place to order customized T shirts especially since we are only ordering a few, but they have always done a great job for us.

2016 Barber Park Tour is considered a success!
