Every year our family takes a trip to a different baseball park – this weekend our trip is to see the Pittsburgh Pirates.

We typically see two baseball games and then head home.  We have a map of the United States with all the Parks on it and every year we buy a pin and mark where we have been on our latest trip.  Brandon makes us all T shirts that say “Barber Park Tour” and lists all of the trips we have done (we have been doing it for 15 years so we have seen a lot of different parks).

Not all the boys have been to all the parks – we have waited until they are 6 or 7 before taking them so we knew they would enjoy the games.   This is Reiken’s second year and so far so good!

Our flight was early leaving Salt Lake so I just threw on some baggy jogger pants and a T shirt.  Being comfortable is the most important factor when traveling and sitting at a ballpark…

The Pirates lost the game last night – we are hoping that tonight is going to be a win!

Family trips for creating memories are the best thing and I know they are what our kids will remember when they are older!
