Lightweight Jacket

When life puts you in tough situations don’t say “why me” say “Try me”!

One thing that everyone needs, no matter the climate you live in, is a light-weight jacket.  I have a small obsession with jackets (amongst other things), and I like to carry a wide selection of colors, fabrics, and styles, just in case!  There are some outfits that look better with short box-style jackets, longer jackets or leather jackets, so I like to make sure I have the right one for a given occasion.

Spring is in full bloom, and in Utah we have been experiencing very sporadic weather, warm days followed by rain and snow.  Even on the warmer days, the mornings are still cold, so even if I am headed to work or a baseball game, I have to wear a jacket.  If you are not someone that has a huge closet, that is fine, just make sure you have a more formal/business style jacket as well as one that is more casual.

The jacket I am highlighting today is one I have had for a few years, but it is kind of timeless.  It has leather accents, knit accents and lots zippers to add another dimension (you can find a similar one here).  Even if you don’t like the style of this jacket, there are so many other styles you can choose from, because at some point you are going to need one.  I have talked about this before, and it still rings true, a jacket or coat should be an extension of your outfit rather than an after-thought.  What that means is, it looks better if you try to keep it within the same style that you are wearing.
