“You can be gorgeous at Thirty, charming at Forty and irresistible for the rest of your life!”

Adding a pop of a bright color is a perfect way to elevate your mood. Last week I talked a little about the color green and what that can do to physically affect your mood and general outlook. Red is my favorite color, and I think it is mainly because it represents power, confidence and determination to me – all traits that truly define who I am.

We are all born with pre-determined character traits, but how much of that can we change by what we create ourselves? Adding red to your outfit can increase enthusiasm, stimulate energy and promote action and confidence. Even if you are not predisposed to these traits, you can certainly help yourself by adding a little color into your life.

Find the color that will affect your mood and help you determine who you are and what you want to accomplish on any given day. If am looking to feel more confident and want to quash any fears or anxiety that I may have, I always turn to red.

I love the femininity of this blouse paired with the edgy style of the leather/fabric skirt. I like to cross styles to soften a look or add a little extra spice to something that is very feminine. Putting together an outfit like this is simple, just find something that makes you feel like the strong woman you are, and add a little something to soften it. I have found that as I go about my business, sometimes people are intimidated because I can be very determined, strong and self-assured. It is sometimes best to make people feel at ease by coming across in a more feminine way, so that they will let down their guard and you can accomplish a lot more.

Feminine doesn’t have to be weak – in fact, proudly wear it, use it, and own it.
