Holiday Tartan

“Beauty attracts the eye but personality captures the heart.”

Today’s Sunday Best is a little Tartan or Plaid for the Holidays.  I know I have been talking about a lot of different options for Holiday styles, but I have to say that Tartan or Plaid is one of my favorites.  Perhaps it’s because I lived so close to Scotland for so long, or maybe because there are so many different colors and patterns of Tartan, or maybe it’s because I know that is stands for so much more than just a fabric…because of the Heritage and History that it comes from.

Holiday or Winter styles can look so many different ways and the great thing about that is that you aren’t limited to one style!  In fact, if you have multiple events or parties to go to, you can wear a different style for each and almost have different style personality.  What is a style personality…well, it is something that I consider to show truly who you are.  For example, if you look at someone and think to yourself  “I can guess certain things about that person based on how they present themselves”.  Now this is not something that you can always do – some people are not accustomed to expressing their style personality, nor do they even care.  Whereas others use their style to show you about themselves and who they are.  Usually it takes a few times of meeting someone before you can figure out their personality – because you will start to see a pattern.  How is this relevant you may as, well, once you know a little about someone you can very often determine the best way to interact with that person.  This is something that I have used in my career for many years and it has helped me relate to people and have successful relationships.
