There are so many ways to wear black and white, today I wanted to show a business adaptation.
A pencil skirt for business is always something that is flattering and timeless. Wearing a white top works really well, especially on warmer days like we are now experiencing. Just because I didn’t want to seem too traditional I added a pair of Maroon shoes with a little bling to accentuate the whole look.
I love picking outfits for work that are classic because no matter who you are meeting, you know you will convey a great impression.
How people see you when they first meet you is very important. I have made mistakes in the past with outfits and regretted it, but one thing that remains constant in my philosophy of style is that it is Always important to make a great first impression. You can never go back to that first meeting, so make sure that how people see you, shows what you want them to see!
I have been guilty of looking at someone and making an assumption based on what I see – and sometimes those assumptions have not been right. However, unless you get to speak or interact with the person on a regular basis, you really only have that first impression to go off. That doesn’t mean that judging or assuming something about someone is the right thing to do, I just think that it is very often human nature, and we can affect it by how we present ourselves.
Business should always be classy and sophisticated – but that can be interpreted in many ways. Find your unique style and just add some classic pieces so that you can make great first impressions!
