Having nice clothes is a matter not just of buying nice clothes, but also taking care of them once you have them. It does no good buying something nice if you are just going to throw it in the bottom of your closet, or not take care of how you wash it. I have definitely learned the hard way that taking care of my things is very important. When I was younger I’ll admit that I would not really put my clothes away or if I did, they were really just scrunched up in a drawer or thrown on the floor in my closet (it seems like I didn’t really have enough room for all my clothes back then either).
As you know I just returned from a trip to England, and while I was happy to return home to spend time with my family, there is always one thing that makes coming home a little harder…and that is the laundry that is inevitable after any vacation.
I must admit that in our home Brandon, my husband, is the one that is on top of the laundry, but there are times when he is on trips that I have no choice but to step in – haha! I know I’m really lucky because there are many men out there that would in no way ever want to handle their own laundry, let alone that of the entire household. It’s funny how sometimes it takes being away on vacation or being away from someone or something to REALLY appreciate how much it means in your life. My goal after my trip was to recognize and appreciate how good things really are, and then take it another step by acknowledging and letting people know how much they mean to me, and how much I appreciate what they do!

One thing that both Brandon and I agree on is the fact that we have to use detergents that are Eco friendly, and they have to smell nice. In fact, for me, if my clothes don’t smell fabulous, it is a really big turn off. We have both tried the unscented detergents, added fabric softener, drier sheets and the list goes on. I was recently contacted about trying Life Eco Friendly fully dissolving laundry detergent sheets. I always like to try new things so I jumped at the chance. I am a bit of a clean freak, so the fact that they weren’t messy was very appealing to me. Everything you need is just in the sheet, and if you have clothes that are more heavily soiled all you need to do is add two sheets instead of one. Seemed like a no brainer to me, so here’s what I found…

This weekend is going to be a catch up on all the chores around the house (including laundry) that I haven’t done for the past few weeks…
I know doing laundry and chores can be a pain, but if you put on some good tunes or a movie in the background, the time goes much faster. In fact, I have found that doing a little dancing while I’m cleaning allows me to brush up on my amazing dance skills ;), get a little exercise and also make the whole experience kind of fun!
What plans do you have for the weekend? May your weekend be long, your chore list short and may you find enjoyment in whatever is in store for you!
