“A beautiful and confident woman never compares herself with other women, because she knows she is an original.”
Fashion and style is so much different than it ever has been. During the Sixties, if you weren’t wearing a Mini Skirt then you just weren’t stylish. Now, there are so many more options for us to choose from.
I like to mix and match styles, colors, patterns and textures from day to day. In fact, typically if I wear a skirt one day, the next I wear pants. I have always loved being different, and not necessarily following what the Fashion Magazines say we SHOULD be wearing. I do still like to have up to the date styles, but I go out of my way to try and find things that are different and if I can’t do that, I put my outfits together with my own twist.
There are certainly some things to consider when putting together outfits on your own.
-
Don’t wear something that you don’t feel great in, even if it looks great on the hanger. Clothes are not made to be worn by every body type!
-
If you are unsure about your look, make sure you ask an HONEST friend. You know the kind that will tell you if you have something stuck in your teeth.
-
Look for pieces of clothing that fit your body type the best.
-
Just because it comes in your size doesn’t mean it is what you should be wearing.
These are just a few guidelines that can definitely get you on the road to creating your own unique style that will give you confidence and make you feel good about yourself.
