Understated

“It’s not about the shoes – it’s about what you do in them!”

When I was putting together the outfit in this post, I was feeling like it was missing something. I love the detail on the top and the skirt fits great, but for me, it wasn’t quite enough.

To alleviate this issue I pulled out a pair of shoes I purchased on my recent shopping trip to NY. I love the ankle strap and the colors of the flowers…they definitely add another dimension to the whole outfit.

Wearing a pair of shoes that doesn’t “match” your outfit is one way to get noticed, but make sure that if you do this, you are not picking something that completely clashes. The colors of the flowers on these shoes tied into the color of the top, so they just added a pop of color that was missing from the muted color of the Rose colored top.

Business style doesn’t need to be boring – you can still look professional when you wear things that are different!
