The Velvet Trend

I had the amazing opportunity to be up in Midway today for a commercial shoot, so I took the opportunity to snap some shots while I was enjoying the beautiful blue skies and amazing views.

I wanted to show off some amazing new block heel shoes that just arrived for me yesterday. I fell in love with the color but the main thing that caught my eye was that they were made of Velvet. I have seen a few other stores that have footwear of the same fabric, but I loved how different these ones are. I often tend to buy pumps with stiletto heels (and while I am not saying I won’t do that anymore, I wanted to mix up my wardrobe a little by adding this amazing pair of block heels).

Because the shoes were the main focus of this outfit, I chose to pair them with a Black pencil skirt and Grey/Black leopard print blouse. It is a great business outfit, and very professional looking (not necessarily if you are at a commercial shoot in a National Forest and have to walk down a dirt road to get to the shoot). Neverthless, I made the shoes work, and got to enjoy the scenery up in an amazing part of Utah.
