Wearing Navy is something that is sophisticated, professional, timeless and versatile.  One of my favorite things about Navy is that you can wear it at any time of year, it matches practically any color, and it also works with just about anyone’s complexion.

The dress I am wearing in this post is a simple, yet classy example of something that can be worn for work, to go out to dinner, or to any event.  I chose to wear mine with some great snake print shoes, to add a little dimension.  Blue is a color that holds many meanings, because there are so many shades of blue.  For Navy or dark Blue, you convey dignity, intelligence and authority – so definitely something that is great in any working environment.

Summer is an even better time to wear Navy because it looks especially great when you have a tan or some color…

The style of this dress is flattering for just about any body time – it has an elastic waistband that is not too tight, and the looser/blouson top makes it feminine but not trashy.  Because it has the silver zipper, I didn’t want to overwhelm the outfit with too many accessories.  I added a simple, delicate pearl and silver necklace with silver and pearl earrings.  Wearing my hair down today, which added to the femininity of the whole look.
