Navy…

“Beauty is what you feel about yourself, not what you see in the mirror.”

There are some colors that work for just about every person – and Navy is one of those colors.  It is as versatile as Black, and yet is a great Spring and Summer color as well.

This dress is such a simple look – slightly gathered waist with a zip neckline.  Really simple, but when you add some great accessories (such as these great Snake print shoes, and a simple pearl necklace – and I even managed to find a pair of cat eye shaped shades in Navy as well), you can really dress it up.

If you are looking to brighten up your wardrobe but are too shy to try really bold colors, Navy is a small step away from your regular Black but just a little brighter.  If you haven’t already tried wearing it, with the sunshine coming out and longer nights, now is a great time to try it!

Stay tuned for more ideas and suggestions about colors and styles to wear as the seasons change.  The most important thing to remember is that you should only try styles and colors that work for you…just because you see someone else wearing it or you see it on a blog or in a magazine doesn’t mean it is right for you!  Don’t be afraid to test out new styles and colors, but also don’t expect everything to work – I very often see things on the hanger that I really like and when I try them on, I realize that they definitely don’t work for me!
