Yesterday I posted about wearing Tan with Black and White…well, I wanted to give a little more detail!
I have heard lots of people talk about how they only ever buy black shoes or purses, because most of their clothes are black or dark colors. I am here to tell you, that doesn’t need to be the case. You can certainly wear shoes in other colors with black as well as using a purse in a different color. Gone are the days when you have to match your purse to your shoes, and clothes…you can truly stand out by pairing your outfits with other colors.
Something I what really enjoy doing is wearing a relatively conservative outfit and then pairing it with some great bold shoes or a great bag. So how do you do this? There are some colors that work better with others, but if you are just looking at pairing something with a neutral color like Black, Brown or White, pretty much anything can go.
Yesterday I chose to wear Tan with the black and white dress that I wore, and the shoes were a nude color. The effect was noticeable and definitely not “normal” – which is GOOD!
Next time you are out looking for a new pair of shoes or a bag, my challenge to you is to pick out one that is not what you would typically buy…try a different color, style or pattern. I know designer shoes and bags can be expensive so it is scary to think of having to buy multiple pieces especially if you are on a budget. There are so many ways to buy cheaper designer or name brand pieces without having to break the bank – that will give you an opportunity to buy more than one pair of shoes or bag so that you don’t have to buy it thinking it needs to go with everything.
You probably already know this but my motto is “you can never have too many pairs of shoes because they are what makes the Woman!”
