Today’s post is a full look of the outfit where I was wearing the booties I posted yesterday. Leather and faux leather has always been a love of mine, especially since there are so many different styles and ways to wear it now. The capri pants that I am wearing in these pictures were some that I found recently at Zara and they were so unique that I had to have them.
I have talked about how much I love to find unique styles, because I like to stand out as being different and if you know me, you know that I am definitely a unique person. I like things a certain way and I like to be different – especially when it comes to my style. Every one of us IS unique, the difference is that I like to show that I am unique. We should all be proud of who we are and show people how amazing we are, and sometimes we can do that by being confident enough to show others who we are. I believe that confidence comes from knowing who you really are, and not being afraid to let others see that.
You may ask yourself what this has to do with wearing leather pants, well…here’s my take: I wear things that make ME feel good, express how I feel and allow me to walk and talk with absolute confidence. I like who I am, I feel good about what I have accomplished in my life, and I am proud to be the wife, mother and friend that I am. Because I feel all these things, it allows me to express myself in my style and not worry about whether or not someone else will approve. It definitely feels good to receive compliments, but it is not required for me to feel great. I have noticed that there are some people that no matter what, don’t like to pay compliments, or only do it because they feel like they should. I have learned to notice who those people are, sometimes that type of reaction comes because they don’t feel great about how they look or they are not confident enough in themselves to pay others compliments. What I like to do is pay them a compliment just to make them feel good – because no matter who you are, even if you are supremely confident in yourself, it always feels great to hear some positive words from another person.
Back to the outfit, I have already mentioned the pants…so, the T-shirt was from Cotton On and I loved it because it had a collar which made it stand out (find similar below). I added a velvet jacket I have had for a while (from H&M) and of course the amazing booties from Urban Og finish off the whole look.
