The absolute worst thing about any vacation is coming home…especially when you have to take a red eye and have a layover.
Today has been rough and I have been wishing I could have taken a 2 week vacation because one week was just not long enough! So, because I am missing the beach and the ocean I wanted to post one last time about our trip.
I love clothes and most definitely shoes, but I also have a little addiction for sunglasses and watches. Today I am posting about 2 of my favorite things – shoes and shades. Whenever I go on my shopping trips I always manage to find at least one pair of sunglasses (and let’s not talk about how many pairs of shoes)…
These great Alexander McQueen shades are a pair I picked up at Century 21 Stores in New York this last spring – I fell in love with the shape AND the color. You know I had to buy them because I didn’t have a red pair 🙂 They don’t work with every outfit because they are pretty bold and you really don’t see very many people wearing red sunglasses, which is also one of the main reasons that I love them.
The flip flops I picked up on a trip to Vegas at Tory Burch – they are simple but I love the gold Tory logo that makes them really stand out. I also love these kind of flip flops where there is a toe loop – I find them really comfortable, and if you have issues with the regular style of flip flops rubbing your feet, you should definitely give these kind a try.
I truly was relaxed on Maui and I can honestly say that I think I only broke out a hairdryer once the entire time – letting my hair dry naturally just seemed to create great beach waves and I loved how soft it was. I think I am going to adopt this new approach for keeping my hair healthy when I have time to do that. I used very little makeup and didn’t feel like I was naked. Being on vacation truly does give you the opportunity to let things go that you think are important. Now I am back, after I get over the jet lag, I will be ready to get back to work so I can pay for our next trip.
Aloha…
