Over the past few weeks I have talked about how colors can affect your mood and how you are perceived…
Today, I wanted to post about Grey. When you think of grey what does it bring to mind? Coming from England, the first thing I think of is a cloudy, rainy day without any sunshine. You could have thought of being sad, depressed or unhappy. I want to change the perception that Grey is not a happy color.
As you may know by now, I have four boys – each one is individual and unique. My 3 youngest have a color as their middle name: Blue, Grey and Steel! So, today I want to talk about my Grey boy! He has the sunniest disposition, he is so loving that if you are feeling pain, he feels it too. That is a big responsibility to not pass along my own fears and anxieties to him – but he is definitely worth it! Knowing what a ray of sunshine he is, it’s hard for me to think of anything but positivity when I think of Grey.
I am talking about then color Grey because I wanted to show you that even though it’s summer, it’s still ok to add this into your outfit repertoire. Grey is the color of intellect, knowledge and wisdom – when you wear it conveys dignity and authority!
There are so many shades of grey that it is easy to find one of the lighter ones for summer and pair it with a great bright contrasting color. I chose this great royal blue box cut blouse.
Don’t limit yourself to certain colors because of what you feel the fashion magazines say you shouldn’t wear (unless it’s a color that doesn’t make the most of your beauty). True style sense is something that comes from trial and error and nobody is going to get it right all of the time!
