Your handbag can create a Statement

“Handbags speak louder than words.”

I wanted to highlight this great handbag that I bought on my recent trip…

It is definitely on the larger side, but the addition of the contrasting bow adds a level of class that you don’t typically see with larger shopping style handbags.

Even though it is on the larger side, it is still fairly light and didn’t feel like I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders when I added my personal things (and let’s face it, when you’re a mom, you don’t want a handbag that is too heavy because you know your kids or husband are going to be adding things they need you to carry). This is something that I definitely consider when picking out a new handbag – whatever the size. I have had smaller sized handbags that weight a ton before you even put anything in them. They may be cute, but I always try to steer away from them because they just weigh on my shoulder after not very long at all!

I loved the contrasting color of this bow – it just seemed to speak to me! There are lots of colorful handbags out there, and while I love them too, when I am making a more expensive purchase, I tend to stick with more versatile colors. Now don’t get me wrong, I definitely have handbags that are statements just because I loved the color, but I also have the “go to” colors as well.

Finding a statement handbag is definitely a personal thing – you need to consider certain factors:

What will you use it for? Travelling? Everyday use?

What types of outfits will it work with?

Is it a long-term investment? (this is something to consider when you are spending more and want to get the full value out of it)

I usually know the types of brands that work for me and when I am out shopping I always check out those brands first, and then expand my search if I haven’t found something I like. An easy way to find what you like is just reviewing online shopping sites – that way you can save time or even know exactly what you want when you go out shopping.
